We woke up bright and early to start our work at the food distribution center and the construction site. One team continued to foster good relationships with the children who come to the food distribution center. They sing, play and enjoy getting to know one another. The other team worked hard at the construction site to dig, mix cement, and plaster concrete walls.
ICS hosted a special lunch for the 4th-grade class at the Cuatro Christian School. We invited 90 students to come to the ministry center for games and a hot meal. Our students split into four teams, and they played various games and interacted with the children while we waited for lunch to be served. ICS ordered two entire "lechon's" (roast pig) for this event. Our meal was able to feed 90 students from the 4th-grade, our team, and many of the staff members at Kid's International Ministries (K.I.M)! The food was delicious, and it was a special treat for everyone at the ministry.
After lunch, the entire ICS team walked over to Arnold's community to distribute food, play games, paint faces, and run around with the children until it was time to leave for the evening.
After dinner, we returned to the children's home for a third night in a row to share a devotion with them. The story we focused on today was of Hosea and Gomer. Our students led worship, played games, acted a skit, and Hoonjoo shared his testimony.
Once devotion time was over, we went back to the ministry center for our team devotions. Esther shared her testimony to the team, and Arnold shared his faith journey to us. He also sang two songs that he composed.
The students have been doing really well. They have interacted with so many children and are working hard to finish what they came to achieve. We are all encouraged by Arnold's sharing with us in the evening.
