Celebrating Teamwork and Transformation with WWW Mural Adventures
This WWW, my team created two murals in the library and at a sports carnival for Youth For Christ (YFC). Despite challenges like immense planning and scorching heat, we learned the value of teamwork and collaboration. I felt thrilled and grateful to have such a beautiful opportunity to serve with all my heart. These experiences were memorable, and I look forward to the next WWW's transformative moments! - Aanya
Cultivating Impact: Lessons from Service at Teen Challenge & Youth for Christ
These two WWW projects, serving at Teen Challenge and Youth for Christ, taught me various valuable lessons, with a particularly impactful experience at Youth For Christ. My team learned that our service can impact others, which can be a solid motivation for serving others and putting their needs above ours. - Amie
Anchored in Purpose: Youth for Christ Murals and Spiritual Reflections
During the World Wide Workshop (WWW), my team collaborated with a non-profit organization called Singapore Youth For Christ (SYFC). Our mural team's objective was to design and paint two murals that would visually capture the essence of the organization's motto: 'Geared To The Times, Anchored To The Rock.' Initially, we were overwhelmed by the complexity of the design requirements and the iterative redesigning process. However, after engaging in direct communication with the SYFC organizer during the first two days of the WWW event, we found ourselves able to complete the murals effortlessly within the next three days. With a clear and shared mural vision, our team worked cohesively, dedicating consistent effort to complete the project.
Similarly, when it comes to our spiritual life, if we fixate our eyes on Jesus and strive toward the vision of becoming more Christlike, we will succeed in all aspects of our lives because we anchor ourselves to the rock––the only Savior. - Yushi
