Here us roar, it's day four!

A big hand to all of our amazing teams for pushing through the heat and the rain as they focus this week on giving back to the community. Today, we highlight our ongoing partnership with Willing Hearts, a soup kitchen in Singapore run wholly by volunteers. Each day, teams were sent out to help prepare ingredients for that day's meals and also help cultivate and harvest their onsite garden.

"Going to Willing Hearts was eye-opening because I met many people there who came many times a week to help even though it was very tiring. I was inspired by their heart to serve."

  • C. Song, Grade 7

"I met many friendly people who were really dedicated to serve the hungry in Singapore."

  • D. Kwee, Grade 11

A new partnership for our school is with Teen Challenge, a care and recovery center that provides rehabilitation services for those who struggle with addiction. At Teen Challenge, a team will be helping with landscaping, cleaning out drains, and other outdoor projects, as well as hearing testimonies and building relationships with some of the members of the program.

Despite the rain, our students are pushing through on another big project for the campus. One team is focused on finishing up a project that last year's Week Without Walls teams started. The recently built stadium seating in the back field is getting a fresh coat of paint and a new tagline: Go ICS! We're excited to see the finished product, which will be visible from across the field, and to see school spirit on the rise!
