Week Without Walls 2021: Day 3
- 2020-2021
We're already halfway through Week Without Walls!
Today, we are featuring more on-campus improvement projects. Students are serving our campus by re-landscaping the Lower Elementary Garden. The garden has been used in the past to help lower elementary students learn how to care for plants, but has since been overgrown. Our teams are building raised plant beds, planting new plants, and implementing ways to make the garden a more sustainable endeavor for the environment on campus!
Teams also assisted in re-painting the pillars framing the back walkway!
"It was great to learn new skills like hammering!"
- K. Yang
A team is also pairing with Singapore Youth For Christ, an organization committed to discipling youth in Singapore, as well as a community service club of polytechnic students via series of Zoom meetings. The students are performing a dance for an elderly care facility via Zoom, creating care packages for the homeless, writing cards of encouragement to women at Tamar Village, and more!
It was fun painting fans for the elderly at Saint Joseph Home, we are happy to help them!
