Week Without Walls 2021: Day 1
Knights, let's go! Today kicks off the first day of the long-anticipated Week Without Walls for the Middle School (MS) and High School (HS), as well as Spiritual Emphasis Week for the Elementary School! Despite the ongoing limitations of the pandemic, we are thrilled to share that our MS and HS students will participate in a total of 10+ service projects on and off campus!
Our students have been split up into 11 smaller groups to participate in several of the projects, from on-campus improvement works to partnering with non-profit organizations in Singapore. This year's theme is "Side-By-Side" and our students will get a chance to cover a wide range of service-based activities together with their peers while learning what it means to be a servant-leader in today's world.
One of the WWW projects involves being a civic-minded resident of Singapore by cleaning public beaches and parks. Today, students ventured out in small groups to Bishan-Ang Mo Kio Park. Our students are learning what it means to take care of the world through small acts of everyday service all while keeping Singapore clean!
Teams are also helping to lead the Elementary Spiritual Emphasis Week sessions during the morning hours. They are leading students in their own service projects, conducting small group discussions, teaching chapel lessons, and engaging in fun activities. We are excited to see how they will continue to build relationships with elementary students and live out our value of Caring Community!
