ICS Recognized as a Child Safeguarding School

  • General

January 2026

International Community School (Singpore) has officially earned recognition from ChildSafeguarding.com as a Child Safeguarding School, marking an important milestone in our ongoing commitment to student safety and wellbeing.

The ChildSafeguarding.com Recognition Program recognizes schools and organizations that meet clear standards in child protection and child abuse prevention. To receive this recognition, ICS ensured that all staff completed Child Abuse Prevention training and that our safeguarding policies and procedures align with established standards of best practice.

Safeguarding at ICS

At ICS, safeguarding is a shared responsibility. All staff are trained to identify concerns, follow clear reporting protocols, and act in accordance with child protection procedures designed to place student wellbeing at the center of decision-making.

These practices support a school environment where students are known, supported, and cared for by adults who take their responsibility seriously.

Physical and Psychological Safety

We believe student safety extends beyond physical protection. Psychological and emotional safety are essential for learning, healthy relationships, and personal growth. When students feel secure and respected, they are more able to engage, take risks in learning, and seek support when needed.

ICS is committed to fostering a school culture where students feel safe to speak up, know where to turn for help, and trust that concerns will be handled appropriately.

A Continuing Commitment

This recognition affirms the safeguarding structures already in place at ICS and reflects our commitment to ongoing training, review, and improvement. We remain dedicated to providing a learning environment where student safety and wellbeing are foundational to everything we do.
