Library Resource Center

Information Literacy

The LRC serves the entire ICS community from Junior Kindergarten through High School, as well as our faculty, staff, and parents. We give our Elementary students scheduled time each week where they are introduced to many types of books and authors. They are also taught information literacy skills which equip them to navigate their way around the library and where research skills are developed. The LRC sponsors several activities throughout the year such as the Read-a-thon, Accelerated Reader, author visits, movie nights, and Dr. Seuss Day. The LRC is a relaxing and enjoyable place to visit to develop a love for learning and reading.
