May 28, Updated Advisory and Return to Campus

On Monday we will welcome back to campus our Grades 1-11 students to join our K4-K5 students for the final three days of school from May 31 through June 2. We will revert to the original school schedule such that our final day, Wednesday, will be a ½ day for students. We are excited that our students and teachers will have the opportunity to have proper closure for the school year.

As a follow-up to my earlier message, this email is to confirm that ICS will go into full home-based learning for Grades 1 to 12 starting this Wednesday, May 19. We are moving to online learning in accordance with the most up-to-date information we have received from the Ministry of Education (MOE) and the Committee for Private Education (CPE).

May 17, Covid-19 Advisory Update

In light of recent news updates, it feels like last year is repeating. Regardless of what the rest of the school year looks like, we are confident in the ICS community's ability to weather any storm and get through this together.

May 6, Updated May Covid-19 Safety Protocols

Their measured response has led to the recent announcement that, due to the recent increase in community cases, schools and various public businesses and facilities will need to re-institute many of the protocols that were in place earlier in the school year. What follows are some of the adjustments that we will be making in order to safely finish the last four weeks of the school year.

Dec 14, SafeEntry and TraceTogether Program

Although we don't know all of the changes that will take place in the future, we have received a new update from the Council for Private Education (CPE) that we need to share with you. This update is about the protocols around the use of the TraceTogether App and TraceTogether tokens for entry onto our campus in the second semester. Please read the following carefully.

Health and Safety Protocols

Temperature Screening and Hygiene Procedures
All students, faculty, and staff will undergo twice daily on-campus temperature checks. Any student with a temperature reading of 37.5°C/99.5°F or higher will be sent home immediately. Our First Aid Officers will be on standby to assist our faculty with temperature screening and to handle more critical medical issues as needed.

If your student is sent home with a temperature reading of 37.5°C/99.5°F or higher, the student may return to school if:

  • He or she has not traveled internationally in the last two weeks
  • He or she has been fever and symptom free for 48 hours (without the use of fever-reducing medication).

If you have any questions or concerns about your child's health, please seek advice from your family doctor.

Elementary students are being taken to wash their hands before and after lunch, snack, and recess times. Middle and high school students are given constant reminders by their teachers to wash their hands before meals.

The ICS maintenance and cleaning staff have increased the frequency with which they disinfect classrooms and on-campus entry surfaces.

Stay-Home Notice (SHN)
