March 5, Government Stay-Home Notices extended to include returnees from South Korea, northern Italy, and Iran

Dear ICS Community,

We know that spring break is quickly approaching, and many families are making and/or reviewing their holiday travel plans. If you are planning on traveling, please be aware that Singapore's travel restrictions continue to be updated with little notice for individuals already out of the country. Please continue to update your travel declaration form as plans change. ICS 旅行申报 - 请点击此处以使用中文填写表格。 ICS 여행 신고지- 본 설문조사를 한글로 작성하기를 원할 경우 클릭.

As of yesterday, 4 March 2020, 2359 hrs., the government's Stay-Home Notice (SHN) was extended to include Singapore residents and long-term pass holders returning from the Republic of Korea, Iran, and northern Italy. These countries are in addition to mainland China. Any student returning from one of these countries after 4 March 2020, 2359 hrs., will be issued a 14-day SHN. Any student who lives with someone who is issued a SHN will also be required by ICS to stay home from school on a leave of absence for the duration of the SHN.

Next week, our elementary students will have spiritual emphasis week, and the theme this year is Unexpected! While the theme was chosen long before the Covid-19 situation began, it is certainly a fitting theme for all of us at this point in time. We recognize the last six weeks have required us to make many unexpected changes to our school routines that are felt throughout our community. However, these changes are also providing opportunities for us to grow together as an ICS family and serve each other. Please be praying for our elementary school students' spiritual emphasis week as well as for our high school students as they prepare to serve their fellow peers on campus next week during Week Without Walls. We are excited for how God is going to work in the lives of our students!

Warmly,
Dr. J.P. Rader
