Dear ICS Community,
We would like to take a moment to provide some important information regarding decisions for upcoming activities and events.
After reviewing the Singapore government's most recent recommendations for schools and consulting with other international schools, we are going to begin on-campus Season 3 ECAs and athletics next week on Monday. Below is a message from Mr. Jeff Wood, our Athletics Director, regarding ECAs and athletics:
Beginning next Monday, February 17, we are very excited to continue with ECAs and athletics training on campus. Due to government restrictions on inter-school events, ACSIS League play has been suspended for Season 3. While we will not be able to compete with other schools in league games, we will continue to train on campus and hold a series of intramural athletic activities within ICS. When the inter-school restrictions are removed, our fellow ACSIS league schools are prepared to coordinate friendly games to provide our student-athletes opportunities to compete. The athletic department is excited to provide students with these opportunities to engage in athletic training and competition until the current situation changes. GO KNIGHTS!!!
Starting Monday, February 17, to accommodate the beginning of Season 3 ECAs, sports clubs, and athletics, the ICS campus will be open for pick-up only from 3:05-4:35 p.m. The canteen will only be open for active pickup during that time. We are asking you to assist us by limiting the amount of time required for picking up your child.
Our leadership team continues to review community events and will make a decision 30 days in advance of scheduled events if we believe we need to cancel the event. Upcoming events we continue to review include International Night (March 27) and Spring Fest (April 25).
Additionally, we will continue to send out email updates with any changes regarding school operations. You can also find information regarding how we are responding to the Coronavirus here on our website. This page includes all of our email communications as well as our current protocols designed to safeguard the health and safety of our community.
Thank you for your understanding and flexibility as we continue to review and make changes to our operations on campus.
Dr. J.P. Rader
