We are beyond thrilled to announce that ICS's leadership has once again been recognized for excellence in education! At the prestigious 2024 Singapore Education Awards, presented by HoneyKids, Ms. Kara Stucky and Mr. Samuel Goh earned the Gold and Silver Awards for Principal of the Year—a tremendous honor for our school community!
Honoring Ms. Kara Stucky – Gold Award for Principal of the Year
Ms. Stucky, our Middle and High School Principal, earned the prestigious Gold Award for her exceptional leadership. Having worked at ICS for 12 years before the pandemic, her return in 2024 has been a huge blessing for our community.
Fostering Excellence: Her focus on academic achievement and personal growth has left a lasting impact on both students and staff.
Hands-On Leadership: Ms. Stucky is actively involved in school life, making meaningful connections with students, guiding them through academic challenges and personal development.
Living Our Values: Ms. Stucky fully embraces the ICS commitment to academic excellence, personal excellence, biblical worldview, and caring community. Her leadership guides students to succeed academically while ensuring they grow into compassionate, well-rounded individuals.
Her Gold Award is a testament to her ability to inspire and lead, creating an environment where students can thrive academically and personally.
Celebrating Mr. Samuel Goh – Silver Award for Principal of the Year
Mr. Goh, our Elementary School Principal, has demonstrated outstanding leadership since he joined ICS three years ago. His passion for fostering academic excellence and promoting a biblical worldview is central to his approach.
Fostering Excellence: Under his leadership, ICS has excelled by offering programs such as the Engineering and Science Fair, the John Hopkins Exceptional Learners Program, and the American Math Olympiad, ensuring students are challenged and inspired to achieve their best.
Hands-On Leadership: Mr. Goh regularly visits classrooms, engages with students in activities like the Engineering and Science Fair, and connects with them during school events, ensuring each child feels valued and supported.
Living Our Values: Mr. Goh embodies the ICS values of academic excellence, personal excellence, biblical worldview, and caring community. His leadership reflects his deep commitment to helping students grow spiritually and academically, providing an environment where every student can flourish.

A Legacy of Strong Leadership at ICS
This year’s awards for Mr. Goh and Ms. Stucky reflect ICS’s tradition of excellence in leadership. Working closely with our Head of School, Mr. Harding, the 2022 Principal of the Year, they continue to lead ICS as a model of transformative education in Singapore.Mr. Goh’s experience as a Singaporean who has lived abroad gives him a unique ability to connect with our third-culture students. As someone who understands the unique challenges faced by international students, he builds strong connections with them, fostering a sense of belonging. Meanwhile, Ms. Stucky, a third-culture kid herself, draws on her own background to relate deeply to our students. Both leaders demonstrate an innate understanding of what it means to be part of a global community, ensuring every student feels known and valued.
