Athletics Coordinator
- Teaching Positions
The Athletics Coordinator strategically plans, supports, and implements the schoolwide ICS sports program in order to offer a wide range of opportunities for ICS students, and actively support and promote the mission and vision of the school.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Communications
-
An excellent sports and events communicator for Stakeholders

Able to do forward planning, prepare schedules, and share expectations and updates with stakeholders

Able to communicate school-wide expectations and timely update to stakeholders and update events as well as schedule

Update sports results to the community weekly via principal emails, weekly announcements, and annually in the annual report
Sports
-
Review, update and articulate Athletic conferences with all stakeholders
-
Able to provide guidelines for those involved in programs.

Liaise with parent organizations relative to all sports events at school

Coordinate coaching positions for all team and events
-
Support all coaches, officials, volunteers, and personnel in effectively meeting the goals of the ICS sports programs

Provide input on the growth and evaluation of all coaching staff

Ensure that all sporting events are in line with the mission and learning goals of the school

Coordinate all administrative duties related to ICS sporting events
-
Coordinate all interscholastic sports and activities for the entire school, and ensure that adequate support available

Onboard all outside vendors/volunteers with training and paperwork
Resource Management / Finances
-
Able to propose and monitor operational budgets for all sporting events and travel
-
Manage stipend payments and other operational expense payments to vendors, etc.

Organize and manage bus schedules and payments
-
Bachelor’s degree
-
Pedagogy certification or a teaching credential is an asset
-
Three years experience as an Athletic Coordinator
-
Three years experience working with students in an athletic or sports setting
