Founder's Day /Walk-A-Thon & Family Fun Day!

 What – A 3km Fun Walk & 5km Fun Run with a fun carnival after 
for all to enjoy!   
 When - Saturday MARCH 8. 2008 9:00 am to 2:00 pm 
The day will start off at 9:00am.  Runners will begin promptly at 
9:00 followed by Walkers 9:15, with everyone returning to ICS by 10:30am. 
The Family Fun Carnival starts at 10:30am!  We will have music, food, games 
and loads of fun for all your friends and family! 
 Where – The walk will start and end at the ICS campus (27A Jubilee Road) and will 
follow a marked route. Maps will be given out and route marshals will be posted 
along the route. 
 How can you help make this event a success? - Invite your bible study buddies, 
church families, family members, anyone you can think of to join in the fun walk and 
to come have fun with us at the Family Fun Carnival!
Walk–a–Thon packets will come home February 6, 2008. These will contain the 
pledge sheets and all the information you will need for the Walk–a–Thon. Download

 Why? The purpose of the Fun Walk and Carnival is to raise money for the school’s
 Annual Giving Fund. 
The Annual Giving Fund is a scholarship fund that helps defray the cost of tuition 
for missionary families. Supporting missionaries is one of the founding purposes of 
our school. This is a vital day for us all. Our goal for this event is $100,000.00!  
We can do it, ICS!!!

ICS Founder's Day - Walk-a-thon - Family Fun Carnival 
March 8, 2008!  
                  
    This is the second year that International Community School has held our Founders Day / Walk-a-thon / Family Fun Carnival.  This year in addition to the 3K Fun Walk we have added a 5K Fun Run, for those who want a bit of a challenge.  There will be a graduated start, runners will start promptly at 9:00am and Walkers will start promptly at 9:15. So come early to get registered.
  
   We would like all runners and walkers to be back to the school by 10:30am when the Family Fun Carnival starts.  The carnival will have games, bouncy castles, the inflatable gladiator ring, original works of art from students, teachers, parents and other mission's minded individuals. 
  
   There will be food, entertainment plus much, much, more!  Don't miss this fun family time. 
  
   All the money raised from the Walk, Run and Carnival will go to the school's Annual Giving Campaign.  This is the scholarship fund for the school.  Currently one-third of our annual budget goes to scholarships for students whose parents are in full-time vocational Christian service.  One of our founding principles is to offer affordable education to those in full-time vocational Christian service.   This is a significant commitment to missions. 
   
   ICS is the only Christian school in the International School system in Singapore.  We are a not-for-profit school.  We have experienced nearly 100% growth in the past year from 200 to nearly 400 students.
  
   We are encouraging all missions-minded Christians in Singapore to come and walk, run or just enjoy the carnival with us.  If you are not available on that day we will gladly accept any donations you are able to make. Make your checks payable to:  International Community School (S) Ltd. and please designate Walk-a-thon on the check.
 
   If you do not have a student at ICS and would like to run or walk, please follow these instructions.
1. Download the Waiver and Release of Responsibility form. 
2. Bring it with you on March 8, 2008. 
3. E -mail us at development@ics.edu.sg and let us know if you intend to walk or run with us.
4. Come early to register!
