Dear Friends of ICS,
If you have been on campus recently you have experienced the excitement and enthusiasm that we witness each day. We are constantly reminded of how special ICS is and how God is blessing our school. We, the teachers and staff, are truly blessed by your children and humbled that you have entrusted them into our care. Our mission statement educating minds and transforming lives for the glory of God is lived out each day in the classroom, on the playgrounds, and in the hallways. If you haven't had a chance to be on campus during the school day, I encourage you to stop by. You can't help but catch the excitement and spirit of our community.
The country of Singapore is positioned at a strategic crossroads in Asia. As a result ICS is uniquely positioned to literally influence the lives of future leaders from around the world. Currently our student population is made of up students from over 35 nations. As Singapore continues to expand its global connections, ICS will have even more opportunity to reach the children of the work for Christ. God has given us an absolutely incredible opportunity. He has, indeed, set before us a great and open door (1 Corinthians 16:9).
For over 20 years, God has clearly been at work at ICS. He has blessed us with exceptional staff, eager students, and a compelling vision. God is now leading us to a critical crossroad. We feel that He is preparing the day for us to secure ICS's future in Singapore. We see a permanent location, more students, more classroom space, a wider variety of programs, more impact for Christ. This future involves many changes, but as we move forward some things will remain unchanged. We will grow in numbers, but we will maintain our commitment to providing each student with a holistic education that prepares them for the demands of an ever changing world. We will expand our educational offerings, but will not stray from our commitment to teaching a Biblical worldview founded on the knowledge that God is the source of all truth. ICS will become a bigger family, but will remain united as a caring community, working to build relationships that go beyond classrooms and grade levels. And, we will continue to emphasize personal excellence at all levels; in our students, teachers, and staff.
If you have read our Vision and Need, you know that this vision needs to be accomplished in two steps. First, we must grow in place. Second, we must step out boldly to secure our future.
