Faculty & Staff
The faculty and staff at International Community School (ICS) serve with dedication and commitment. The staff comes to our school with a vision for sharing the love of God with each of their students.
All of the full-time faculty are expats with experience and credentials from their home country. Faculty and support staff represent many different nations. The teachers hold valid teaching certificates from either their own countries or from the Association of Christian Schools International. About 40% of the faculty hold advanced degrees and most arrive at ICS with prior teaching experience in the United States. Because ICS has a low student/teacher ratio (currently about 10/1), the teachers know each student, pray for the students, and work hard to model a positive Christian lifestyle.
One further benefit students receive from the faculty at ICS is the understanding that service in the name of Jesus is a great privilege. Our teachers are all missionaries serving with the Network of International Christian Schools, Inc. (NICS). This world-wide organization recruits, screens, and trains teachers to serve in other cultures around the world. The vision of "Reaching the World For Christ" drives this mission to begin and support schools like ICS. Those teachers that become a part of NICS are commissioned and sent by their local churches as well as by the mission organization. These teachers truly desire to use the gifts God has given them to make a difference.
