Our study ends with the fall of the Roman Empire and development of large civilizations in the Americas.

U.S. HISTORY I

This course is an overview of the first half of United States' history, examining the discovery as a "New World", its founding as a nation, and its growth and development as a mature nation. The course focuses on a chronology of major political and cultural events and ends with the Civil War and the nation's reconstruction. Included in this course is an introduction to the US government system and a reinforcement of basic geographic skills and how geography relates to history. Research papers, proper essay construction, creating effective lecture notes, and other essential skills for high school students are worked on throughout this course.
