Accreditation and Membership

ICS is a private international school registered with the Singapore Council for Private Education (CPE) and accredited by the US-based Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC).  WASC accredits schools in the Western United States including schools such as University of California Berkley and Stanford University.  Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) also accredits ICS.  ACSI is a group of Protestant based educational institutes which was established in 1978.  Currently, ACSI reaches 5.5 million students worldwide.  (Click images to visit organizational websites.)

About NICS

ICS is a member of the Network of International Christian Schools Inc. (NICS). NICS operates schools in 16 countries around the world and has an online school offering at NorthStar Academy.ICS benefits in several ways as a result of being part of this larger international network of schools.NICS provides expertise and advice to schools in the network. ICS benefits from this advice and ideas from our sister schools around the world.  NICS also gives ICS an opportunity to extend our philosophy of giving to others by enabling us to help smaller schools in the network. Our school was instrumental in helping begin a new NICS school in Turkey.

New faculty members are recruited through the NICS office. NICS helps place Christian teachers in positions that would be the “best fit” for their credentials, talents, and desires.  Before beginning work at ICS, all teachers and staff participate in Pre-Field Orientation, which provides a two-week intensive training experience on transitioning to a new culture and working with “third culture kids.”
